    It works, except extended partitions

    Hi,

please look at my recent post (Installing SUSE - Yes you can) : http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=262742

Note that the loss of extended partitions is no longer an obstacle for me. I have abandoned the idea of transferring my whole complex PC, with a boot manager and several WinXP and Linux partitions, because it's a nonsense to have to reboot inside a VM. Now I prefer to keep open one VM with my production XP, another for Linux, a second XP, etc. So I can have them all open. It's no longer necessary to reboot, a great improvement.

To achieve this, I have proceeded to several transfers, copying each time one Windows XP extended partition to another disk as primary, then booting that disk, installing the Transporter Agent, etc. Only in the case described in the post I have kept the boot manager and two XP partitions, which results in an emulated full PC with boot menu.

    Transporter has it's web page : http://www.parallels.com/support/desktop-virtualization/transporter/

    HTH
