My client recently upgraded to Mountain Lion and Parallels 7. He using a dual monitor setup on a Mac Pro. One monitor was for his Mac desktop, the other for Autocad in Windows. Since the upgrade, whenever Parallels is started, the Mac desktop side turns grey. There is no dock, toolbar at the top or anything. I am trying to solve this over the phone and save him a costly on-site visit.

    Same here

This appears to be a change to the way the Full Screen viewing feature works in 7. Now I am not able to view my Windows guest OS in full screen on a second monitor while also using Mac OSX on the other.

Is this a bug that can be corrected? Or is there a new configuration setting to change?

Hi, there is a setting you can change to not use the OS X Full Screen mode, which should let you use the old style full screen from before Mac OS included the full screen at the OS level.

Goto the configuration for the particular VM and untick the use Mac OS Full Screen option. I have it ticked, but sounds like you want to untick to get the desired effect

Thank you! That did the trick for me.
