After having to reformat and reinstall my Mac HD, Parallels stopped working. I removed the partition and uninstalled Parallels. I've now reinstalled it on my Macbook Pro mid-2009 running Lion without using Boot Camp, but with just Parallels running Windows XP. It works, however, when I first start my Macbook, I get a black screen with a flashing cursor. If I shut down and restart while holding alt/option and select the Mac system, everything works fine. Can someone please help me remedy this so it simply boots into Mac? I know just enough about computers to get myself in trouble. Thanks very much!

    Hi DaniellU,

It seems most probably BIOS not configured properly or hard disk or one of the device is not detecting .
could you please rest bios settings to default and let us know the output.

At the risk of sounding really dumb, how can I go about finding the BIOS settings? Thanks!
