I just upgraded to Mountain Lion on a MBA (mid 2012) running a virtual Windows XP. Upon my first boot post ML upgrade, I'm getting the following Parallels error: "Your configuration of the CPUs is not symmetric. Parallels Desktop maynot work properly on computers with such configuration. To avoid this problem in future, try to disable the Limit CPUID Value option in BIOS." The only different between the last time I used parallels and the error was the ML installation. Unfortunately, I can't get the key combination to get into BIOS and uninstalling and installing Parallels hasn't helped. Any thoughts?
What build of Parallels Desktop do you have? it should be 15104 with the latest tools installed - otherwise Parallels will not run. And VMs actually do not have BIOS so there is no point to search for a key combination
I have build 7.0.15104. It took it a while, but I reinstalled Parallels Tools and it seems to have fixed itself. Thanks for the quick reply.
