I use Parallels 7 on my Mac for a Windows 7 VM that _is_ my work computer (I develop applications for Windows on Visual Studio). When Mountain Lion is released on the 25th, I would like to upgrade. However, I cannot be without the VM, so I need Parallels to work right away. Will this be the case?

I know I can always restore the machine back in Time Machine, but I will wait for Parallels to be ready if it is known there will be issues from the start.

    Thank You,

    John

Awesome. Thanks for the response. I guess I have to get this update. It was not working when I tried an earlier build of ML.

Just make sure you update Parallels Desktop before you update Mac OS I guess...

It appears to be working for me (in my far from extensive usage in the last hour or so).

I am using Parallels build 7.0.15104 (Revision 778994; July 10, 2012) on my newly installed Mountain Lion on a 2012 macbook pro (retina).

Visual Studio 2012 and Legend of Grimrock seem to work ok.

Was a bit worried about ML after reading Jesus Diaz's snarky Gizmodo review, but it seems to work ok for me.

I installed ML this morning (before reading to see what would/would not work...) and of course Parallels 7 did not. However, I went here to get the latest version...

    http://www.parallels.com/download/desktop/

was emailed a download link and installed it. Now Parallels 7 runs just fine under ML.
