I am running running parallels 7 on my macbook pro (OSX 10.7.4). I recently sratted experiencing problems with my parallels and it wont start my windows 7. Everytime I start it, it gives the following error.

"Failed to connect to the "/volumes/macintosh HD2....../parallels/windows7.pvm/" volume. Click continue and try again

This virtual machine is stored on the "/volumes/....../parallels/windows 7.pvm/" volume. You need to connect to this volume to be able to start this virtual machine."

The volume is connected and thats exactly where the .pvm file is located. Anyone with an idea what is happening here? Dont want to loose my files on the virtual machine.

    Thanks
    Sam

    Done

After a long scratching of my nearly bald head, I discovered that for some reason, parallels was being denied access to the users folder. Previllages are now changed and is working flawlessly. Thanks for those who replied and those still thinking what might have gone wrong.
