    Hello, thanks for reading.

I am interested in installing Parallels on my iMac (Main Machine) and running Windows 7 (On the Parallels Software). I have to use a Citrix client for work at home reasons and has to be run within Windows.

My question is does Parallels keep an active Internet connection open at all times. Anyone who uses Citrix knows that it will drop the connection very easily. I need to know if this program will work or should I just install Windows using boot camp and keep it separate. I hope that is clear enough.

    Please advise! Thanks!

If you set Windows to be connected to the internet - it does not drop the connection and operate the same way like WIndows PC does. I suggest you to install trial version of Parallels Desktop and try it yourself.
