Hi everyone, When resuming from suspend (OS X 10.6.8) using Parallels Build 7.0.15094, networking (shared network) in my guest Ubuntu 12.04 is lost. I've tried to restart networking but that doesn't help. If I go to system settings->networking then ethernet is 'unplugged'. I also tried disconnecting/reconnecting network from Parallels but that doesn't help either. Restart Ubuntu and networking is back. Has anyone else seen this sort of behaviour? Everything was ok in Ubuntu 11.10. Cheers, Tim
I have the same problem and it seems to be a little erratic as sometime when I resume the network is working fine. Parallels Build 7.0.15094 (Revision 749908; April 5, 2012), Ubuntu 12.04 (all updates applied as of 10 may 2012), OS X 10.7.4 Again I never had an issue in ubuntu 11.10 but I'm not sure if this is a Parallels or Ubuntu issue. Thanks Nick
Ditto - Parallels network driver is crashing I have the same problem - I've tried shared and bridged networks but basically whenever the host losses or changes network connection the Ubuntu 12.04 guest losses it permanently. No amount of network restart will work, in fact it hangs and you can't even complete a regular OS shutdown once the network goes, I have to stop. I've attached a typical syslog when it happens (I had a VPN running in the guest at the time but that is irrelevant, it happens without one running too). I don't know if there is a way to "restart" Parallels network driver after the crash - that would be a useful workaround for nw but it would be much better if Parallels fixes the bug.
Further info... I've found this always happens if I suspend the host without first suspending the guest. I have yet to reproduce it when the guest is first suspended. Unfortunately once this bug happens there is nothing to do except stop the guest and reboot from scratch. Any attempt for an orderly shutdown or restart of the guest will fail.
Ditto I have also been having the same issue, where suspending the host causes the guest to lose all network connections and it has been unrecoverable unless I reboot the guest. Ubuntu 12.04 as the guest with latest PT installed (7.0.15094)
