Store data of external fire wire disk

Hallo,

when i installed Parallels 7 with Windows 7 of mac os X Lion on the internal hard disk, can I store/access to an external Fire wire disk with Mac filesystem? Is this possible?

You can't directly connect a Firewire device to a VM like you can with USB, however you enable accessing (read-only) Volumes that are mounted in OSX as network drives in Windows (by sharing mounted volumes) or you can share (read and write) any folder that exists in OSX (also external drives) to Windows.

Most firewire devices also have a usb port, you can connect directly to the VM using the USB port, but the problem is that Windows won't be able to read and write to HFS+ Volume with some 3rd party driver (Paragon for instance).
