    I'm really new to all this but here goes;

    I have a test environment set up for a piece of server software running on Windows 7 within parallels on a domain name. This was done going into the "hosts" file and adding the line
    127.0.0.1 myserverdomianname.com

    Now I type in the domain name in the browser in IE and it works great.

    OK I now need to be able to access this domain name from Chrome on my MacOSX to test a website I am building that will be making calls to my windows7 domain name.

    Now my head hurts - can this be done?

    I have read lots about people doing it the other way round for testing their MACOSX localhost sites on IE but not the other way - testing a Windows7 Localhost domain on Chrome on MacOSX.

    Any ideas out there guys?

    You have to know the IP of the Windows VM. As far as networking is concerned a VM is like another separate computer in a network. I've answered similar question before in this forum, you can do some searching.
