    I have the following
    Parallels Build 7.0.15055
    iMac 10.7 Lion
    Win 7 in VM
2 Ethernet adapters (one internal and one USB)

I want to run the windows connected to a VPN hardware router and not allow the Mac to see the VPN network

I tried disabling the TCP/IP for the USB adapter by setting IPV4 to "OFF". The windows using Bridged mode to the USB adapter see the adaoter but does not connect to the VPN network.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks

You can connect usb modem right to the virtual machine. To do this go to Parallels Desktop preferences, USB, and assign usb modem to always open in Virtual Machine. You should use Bridged ethernet adapter network. (or pick your USB adapter in configuration menu if you can see it listed)

Thanks for your reply. I am using a USB ethernet adapter and not a USB modem if that makes a difference. Anyway I do not see the USB adapter in the list of USB devices to connect to the VM.

Sorry - yes it make difference. Than you need to try going to Configuration menu > Hardware > Network > In the drop down list find your USB adapter and try to choose it. It must be connected directly to your Virtual Machine
