I just installed Parallels 7 and Windows 7...and get the message that cannot display the web page whenever I try to access any web page. Troubleshooting cannot pinpoint the problem...and it says that I am connected to a network.

I access the internet through a ethernet connection > router > cable modem.

I also have Windows XP installed and it successfully connects to the internet, but it soooo slow...access to the internet from the same mac under OSX 10.6.8 is just perfect with any browser.

    TIA

Thanks...I did follow every single step outlined in your very helpful link, but everything checks ok and I still cannot connect/display any web pages.

Earlier I said that with Windows XP I could browse the net, but that was wrong...same problem with Windows XP.

I reinstalled Parallels 7 and downloaded/installed Chrome as a Virtual Machine and it works great...I don't know what to make out of this, either Parallels 7 is not installing right or the Window's VM are not installing properly.

I'll take any further suggestions...in the meantime I'll uninstall Parallels 7 and go back to Parallels 6 and see what happens.

Are you using bridged networking or shared networking? If bridged, have you selected ethernet from the Devices menu?

Went back to Parallels 6 w/ Windows XP...and the same thing happens. Maybe it's a MacOS setup (Mac connects with no problem though) or I don't know what...I'm about to give up.

My Macbook is running Parallels 6 with Windows XP without any problems...on the same network (but wireless not ethernet)????
