Windows desktop themes doesn't take effect

I am using windows 7 with parallels 5 Mac and snow leopard. Even though I change the desktop them in the windows control panel, it does not take effect. The desktop theme remains the orignal windows theme with the windows logo.

Anyone know why?

What view mode do you run? Coherence? Full Screen? Window?

 

Coherence or full screen...it doesnt matter

 

It matters cause in coherence you don't see Windows desktop at all. try to open Vm in Window view mode and change the theme. Also make sure changes has been applied and control panel shows new theme is settings (even though it does not actually change)

What exactly was the problem? cause it seemed a little bit unusual issue to me
