I'm using a modem which only has drivers for windows. What I'm trying to do is to connect to the internet using the modem connected to Windows. Ideally I'd connect to the internet using the modem on windows, then access this connection from OS X. Is this possible?

The problems I'm facing: connecting to the internet requires me to disable the Parallels Ethernet Adapter. When I do that I can use the modem to access the internet, otherwise not. If I disable it then obviously the VM loses connection to OS X, right? Keeping it enabled only allows Windows to connect to the internet when OS X is connected to the internet, even when the modem has already established connection to the internet.

What is happening and what can I do in this situation? Thanks!
