I can connect to my work VPN (PPTP) with both OSX and Windows 7, but in OSX, I cannot ping/remote-in any internal IPs once connected. In Windows 7, I can get in just fine.

I've been searching online for days... please help!

There could be a conflict between Parallels adapters and VPN.

    Try the next:

From the menu Parallels Desktop -> Preferences -> Advanced -> Change Network Settings change settings for Shared/HostOnly networks to be
    192.168.55.0/255.255.255.0, 192.168.129.0/255.255.255.0

Sorry, I had to describe it more detailed:

the default settings for Shared is 10.211.55.x and for HostOnly 10.37.129.x. Change these numbers to the posted above

    No Dice

Network settings is asking me for a Start and End Address and will not allow the Start address to be 192.168.129.0. So I use 192.168.129.1-192.168.129.254 and it accepts those settings...

but I am still having the problem when I start the OSX/Host VPN:

    ping 192.168.1.30
    PING 192.168.1.30 (192.168.1.30): 56 data bytes

I can VPN in with the Windows VM and ping this IP just fine, but I prefer to use my Mac.

please start /Application/Utilities/Terminal and, while connected to VPN, execute commands "netstat -nr" and "ifconfig" (without quotes) and post here their output

It is strange. I don't see any conflicts in routing. Do you have any firewall installed? It is the only cause that I can imagine at the moment.

PS: I'd suggest you to edit now your post and remove the information about netstat and ifconfig in your message

no other ideas? I have VPN connecting via my host and Parallels turned off, but I can not ping the remote PC.

Please make sure that your remote PC firewall is off.
