Why is it impossible to install Windows 7 32-bit?

I had to install a 32-bit version of Windows 7, so I busted out my Windows Ultimate disk with a 32-bit and 64-bit install. I figured Parallels would pause at the Windows version selection screen so I could choose the 32-bit or 64-bit variant, but it didn't. Instead it went right ahead to the file copying and installation screen. So I deleted that VM and remade one with the same settings, except this time, while the setup was booting, I clicked Installation -> Stop automatic install or something along those lines in the menu bar, but alas, I was still taken directly to the copying and installation screen.

Thinking maybe I was going crazy (I had actually retried the above multiple times), I decided to try a Parallels competitor whose name starts with a V. Now this is by no means a plug for V (if I wanted to use V I wouldn't be posting on these forums), but early on V offered me the option of turning off "Easy Install" and I actually ended up seeing the Windows version selection screen.

Am I not clicking "Stop automatic install" early enough or something? (pressed it before the Windows loading screen that says "Starting Windows")

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What's wrong with saying VMWare Fusion, or Oracle VirtualBox? No one will censor you for that.

You have the option to not use express installation in Parallels, after the CD/DVD/Image screen, when it asks for the serial number you have a check box at the top that says "Express Installation".

    Did not see that. Thanks.
Also I wasn't familiar with the forum rules so I just thought I'd play it safe.
