Using Parallels 7 and installing Win7 as VM in Lion OS, there is a possibility that one day the Windows installation crashed and don't permit to access Windows files. It is a way to access and backup such files thru Lion?
you can always use Time Machine and make a backup of .pvm file - the one which contains all the virtual machine data. You can make a regular snapshots as well or copy pvm file manually time to time to some safe location.
