I have PD installed with XP on a mac mini I use as a server, for various PC apps. It has no monitor attached to it & I use screen sharing to control it.

Since upgrading to Parallels 6 and 7, the mouse cursor is nearly always invisible in XP. I can still click on things if I intuit where the cursor is going to be, but obviously not being able to see the cursor makes this very difficult. Basically this has rendered parallels mostly unusable for me.

I plugged a monitor I borrowed into the mini, and on that screen the mouse cursor works fine. It also works fine in screen sharing when there are no windows or menus open on the XP desktop. But the moment I open a folder it starts to disappear a bit, and with any app or the start menu open it becomes completely invisible.

I've tried playing with the smart mouse settings and also reinstalling parallels tools (following other mouse-related threads on here), but to no effect.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Mike

try to uninstall parallels tools and reproduce the issue - we would be able to know if tools are the problem
