    Dear Experts,

I'm trying to "transport" a Windows 7 installation from a PC to my new iMac via a network connection. The W7 installation is native to the PC (i.e. we're not talking about a boot camp installation) and it's also quite a recent and 'clean' installation of W7.

Parallels Transporter successfully imports the W7 installation to the Mac, but when it tries to boot the new VM, it reports that there is no Boot Drive available. I have tried this a couple of times, but get the same problem every time.

Note that if I configure the W7 VM to boot from a CD and I put a Windows 7 CD in the Mac, I can get to W7 diagnostics and repair. This program reports "The partition table does not have a valid System Partition". Then it says "Repair Action: Partition table repair". Result: Completed successfully. However the problem remains.

Note also that if I start a Windows command prompt, I can inspect the W7 C: drive and it seems that everything is present. So it looks like the problem is something to do with a boot partition not being setup by Parallels Transporter.

    Help!

    RobH.
