    Hi.

I'm running a Windows Server 2008 with 1 GB RAM in a MBP 2.4 GHZ 4 GB RAM with Parallels Desktop 6.0.12090. Almost every day I found that cpu usage fires to 100% because some svchost-related service (sometimes is SoundServce, other is LocalServiceNetworkRestricted) is consumig all cpu time. If I kill the process, everything goes back to normal, but a few minutes after it happens again.

I just searched this forum for related posts and found nothing. Any clues about waht causes this behavior?

    Regards

The result of this was to show us that Automatic Update was responsible for running this process. So as a test we disabled the automatic update service and rebooted the server, the CPU then went back to a normal state.
