I am interested in migrating Windows Vista off of a PC I own to my Macbook Pro. The Migration tool says I need over 100g to do so, because the volume it wants to migrate has many things on there, including a 12 gig restore partition and other files and programs I do not want migrated. I really only want to migrate a basic windows installation and one specific program I use on a daily basis.

Is there any to accomplish this?

    Thanks
    Oren

    * Delete what you don't need from the source computer

    or

    * Make a fresh install on Parallels.

Thank you Specimen. I don't want to delete the recovery partition from the PC I am migrating or the other picture files etc. that are on that machine. I just don't want to migrate them to my Parallels installation.

To install a fresh copy can I use my Windows license from the machine I wanted to migrate?? Or would I be forced to buy a new license for Windows?

You can try to activate and see what it says.
If the license is OEM (very likely) you have to buy a new one anyway.
If it isn't the license from the old machine will probably be revoked.
