Issue: Using Parrallels>Windows>Peachtree Pro (accounting Software). I have had a catastrophic failure of MacBook Pro. Fortunate a Backup was made of all work. The problem: I need to reach the actual files for the Peachtree Program. Is there a way to get into the Parrallels file and extract this file? I do not have any other device that can run Parrallels. Any suggestions out there?
If you have access to another mac, get the trial and use it to run/mount (right click on it and select 'Parallels Mounter') the .pvm. On a Windows machine use a trial of Parallels Workstation for Windows, or a trial of VMWare, or Virtualbox, they can import Parallels machines. Whatever the case be sure to try this with a copy of the backup and not the backup itself.
Haven't Considered the Windows Side Thanks for the response. I had not considered the Windows side and Parrallels. I will give it a go.
This might be useful: http://kb.parallels.com/en/5048 This is an old article thou, some differences exist, like it's not .pvs but .pvm now.
