    Wondering if someone can help a new Mac user here with this problem.

    I have the latest large screen Imac Lion version 10.7.2 with 16 gig of ram and 3.4 Ghz

    I installed Parallels desktop 7 and it installed like a breeze and then later installed windows. A few days later today, i started Parallels and got the message unable to connect to parallels service. i followed the help and went to the command line and tried the suggested;

    sudo launchctl stop com.parallels.desktop.launchdaemon

    I got the reply no such process.

    Have tried this a few times to make sure it was typed correctly and same response.

    Any idea on what is the problem. i do not have the firewall on and the install was perfect.

    I have since tried to reopen the program and the same problems occurs.

    thanks in advance

    Uninstall Parallels using the uninstaller (you won't lose VMs and settings), reinstall it again.

    1. Turn your Caps lock off when posting messages here.

    2. The uninstaller is in the same place the installer you used to install Parallels is.
