    Hey Everyone,

I have a problem with Parallels. I have a MacBook Pro (Just bought it) installed Parallels and tried to create a new virtual machine. Ive tried with a CD and with an image. But as soon as the virtual machine gets into the installing stage of windows 7 it crashes and tries to send a error report to Parallels (Which i have sent). Dont know what i am doing wrong. I gave the VM 4GB RAM, 4 CPU's, 100 GB of space and 256MB of video RAM. Been trying all day, so frustrated. Can someone please help me. If you need anymore info i will be happy to provide.

Thanks in advance for your help on this.

    Regards,

    Michael

    Issue Resolved

Thanks for the reply! Yes is did try with the default settings but this did not work. I did however find the answer to my problem. If you go into the VM's settings you can change the Preferred Virtualisation Engine from "Automatic" to "Intel VT-x" it would not crash on me anymore. Hope this helps anyone else who comes accross the same problem.

    Regards,

    Michael

    ???

There's no such setting in Parallels Desktop, that's VMWare Fusion! Wrong company!
