I am using parallels 6 to run windows 7 on Mac OS X Lion. Parallels opens fine, programs run great but when I go to save my work or download anything from the internet I get the following error: "The \\psf\home\desktop\ folder does not exist. The file might have been moved or deleted. Do you want to create it?"

I have tried going through the knowledge base with no avail. Can someone help me? I am a student and need to be able to run windows on my mac.

    Thanks.

Is that the exact message? Check your Sharing settings in the VM configuration. Under Shared Profile -> Configure, you should share your Mac Downloads folder. Or you can just set your web browser in Windows to save downloaded files wherever you want.

You need to have your Home folder shared. I can suggest you to do the following - if the sharing is enabled - disable it, restart Windows, enable it back and check the issue. If it still doesn't work - reinstall Parallels Tools from Virtual Machine menu.
