I seem to have been able to kludge my way to getting the size of the Folder and File sizes on my Desktop to something more manageable by navigating somehow to my Appearance and Personalization > Personalization section and then clicking on a WINDOWS BASIC Theme which brought up the Windows XP type dialog for this and I set ICON pulldown to size 16 which seems to work well on the Mac Pro but it doesn't seem to be taking on the MacBookPro. I am assuming that by doing this I am actually replacing the existing Theme with this new theme but I find this section totally confusing. Does anyone know how to get the 16 to stick and whether it is possible to go smaller than this? It is a 13" MacBook Pro and I get about 20 icons on this left to right which is annoying and unworkable. I'm using these two documents as reference. The first is my thread and the second shows how to do this in "Using Color and Appearance Method" but seems to be missing a couple steps. http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...book-pro/22854651-e5c0-441e-9b5b-8617c840b399 http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/how-to-resize-desktop-icon-in-windows-vista/ TIA
