I'm an MCTIP and am extremely confused by what parallels is doing with Windows! I've used Parallels on another mac before with no problem but the guest Win 7 install on there wasn't part of the domain...

    MAC: 2 x Intel Xeon 2.66, 8GB RAM, 250GB HDD

I've installed a trial of Parallels 6 on our Snow Leopard mac (fresh install of OS X, as up to date as can be) and installed our volume licenced version of Windows 7 as a guest. It installed with no problem (except not reading my autounattend from my USB...) and I joined the machine to the domain manually, installed the necessary applications and that was that.

I logged on to the guest as the user who would be using it everyday and it informed me that it needed to log me off to fully enable the parallels integration for that user. When I tried to log on as the same user it stuck at the Welcome screen on Win 7... If I log on as the local, or domain, admin it is fine

    Things I have tried:

    1. Deleting the user's profile on the Win 7 guest and trying again after numerous reboots of guest and host (it's a local profile but with redirected documents and appdata folders)
    2. I've added the user to the Local Admins group on the guest before logging on the for the first time
    3. Changing the networking on the VM to Bridged

None of these things have helped...

    Any ideas??

Same issue, but does load in 6-minutes with issues...

I am having exactly the same issue. Only when I am physically connected to the domain in which the computer is tied to. Once I either disconnect the ethernet cable of disable the networking, Windows loads within seconds. If I am connected, Windows 7 spins on the Welcome page for an average of 6-minutes before it loads, then Parallels prompts me to accept the Shared Profile settings and logs me off - and repeats the cycle once again.

    Frustrating!

Was wondering if there is any resolution to this. I have a Win7 virtual PC installed using Parallels 7. Parallels is running on Lion 7.2.0. Both the Mac and the Win 7 VM are part of the domain. Multiple users log into the imac so the Parallels VM is located in the Users/Shared/Parallels directory.

On most of the iMacs when a users log into the Win 7 VM is gets stuck on the Welcome screen. And it doesnt move on. I have to start the Win 7 PC in safe mode then using msconfig start it in diagnostic mode reboot, log in locally then set it to start in normal mode again, reboot once more and then the user can log in. Go back to that same VM a day or so later and its back stuck at the welcom screen....

Its driving me nuts not to mind the time it takes to get each VM start up issue resloved. (50 imac's ruinning parallels.).

Windows 7 stuck at the welcome screen solved

    1. Download win to flash software.

    2. Put windows7 installation disc into DVD drive and use win to flash software to create a bootable usb drive.it takes only 5 min.

3 WinToFlash starts a wizard that will help pull over the contents of a windows installation CD or DVD and prep the USB drive to become a bootable replacement for the optical drive..

4.Every time before starting the computer plug in this pen drive which we created and there will not be any starting problems.
