I am running Lion and Windows 7 I recently moved to parallels from fusion. Now every time I put a DVD in to play or download video it opens windows and uses media player. I do not want to use the windows side at all for this, but need media player at times to play files for work so I do not want to remove it. I cannot seem to find the settings to fix this, any help would be greatly appreciated.
I suggest you to go open Configuration window (Virtual machine menu --> Configure) --> Hardware --> CD/DVD and uncheck 'Connected'. In case if you need to open any CD on Windows side - just put the settings back.
