I have a White MacBook 13.1" screen and am running Windows 98 virtually, but all I can get is 16 colours! Is there a driver I can use to get it into the millions please? Also, everything runs a bit slow, are the refresh rates due to this? *I have OS X 10.6.8, 2.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB RAM* Thanks!
answer Right, well, I found the solution... firstly display drivers can be found under the "Install Parallels tools" (in the Virtual Machine menu), but make sure you have dismounted the CD/DVD drive before hand by unchecking the check-box in the settings, after a reboot, the CD should now be listed as something like "Parallels tools", which will have a folder you can navigate to in order to load the drivers from. However, I chose a different option. I chose to go with "SciTech Display Doctor" (with advice from the following thread: https://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?t=9918) that allows for a 16bit True Colour display at 1024x768 screen size, much better. It's a little buggy, so I advise you play with it a little, but it *will* work. You can download the driver here: http://qumble.org/downloads/scitech-display-doctor-7.iso
