I installed Parallels 7 and converted my Fusion3 Windows XP machine to Parallels. Once I did this, i tried to upgrade to a 64-bit version of Windows 7. It wouldn't work, so I settled for the 32-bit version, which installed fine. However, Parallels still refers to the virtual machine as Windows XP, even though it boots under Windows 7. Anyone else encounter this problem? Do I need to reinstall Parallels, or go to the latest build?
Hello PeeGee, You can change the name manually - make sure virtual machine is stopped, go to Virtual Machine menu --> Configure --> General and rename it. Close configuration window and check if the name is changed
