    Hi guys.

I installed Parallels and DNS successfully, but I'm having a tiny issue with lag when using DNS.
Once I boot up the document/spreadsheet/whatever I'm working on and get DNS ready for dictation, it works fine initially.
However, after about 5 minutes or so of dictation, the response time of DNS (having the text appear in my document) becomes pretty slow. The longer I use it, the slower it becomes. I've found that I can simply turn the mic on and off again, and that brings back the speediness, but it's only for a short time, and then I have to do it again.

I don't actually mind clicking the mic on and off again every once in a while, and it's not bad when I'm dictating long sentences, but because I use it for translation, much of the time I dictate in small chunks, and it is these times when the lag is the most detrimental for me, as I could be literally typing it faster.

I'm just wondering if this is a problem particular to me, or if everyone experiences it, and if there's a workaround/solution. I've tried both having Parallels automatically manage memory and setting memory for my virtual machine manually at maximum, but both work the same.
    (I have a 2.13GHz mid-2009 13" MacBook, which I've upgraded the memory to 4GB and hard-drive to 500GB, in case it matters.)

Thanks for any help or suggestions!

    ditto

I am having a similar problem in DNS 11.5, running parallels 7 on an iMac 3.06 i3 processor with 4 gb of DDR3 RAM. I was considering getting more RAM based on this discussion but this post discourages me.

I would appreciate any input from other DNS / Parallels users about resolving this lag issue.
