Several times since I have installed 3188 on 10.4.9 I am not getting any internet connection when I do a restart. I can usually resolve this by restarting again... Is anyone else seeing this?
Try and uninstall Paralllels Tools, restart, then reinstall Parallels Tools and following the instructions. Also check this post as it might help as well. http://forums.parallels.com/thread9957.html
I might not have been clear in my first post. I am in OSX browsing the Internet and then decide to reboot my Mac. It reboots and I am not connected to the Internet. I am not even talking about the networking within Parallels because it is not running at this time. If I got into the Network utility in System Preferences, it shows 3 adapters: Built-in Ethernet 1 192.168.1.2 - currently active Ethernet Adapter (en2) 10.37.129.2 - currently active Ethernet Adapter (en3) 10.211.55.2 - currently active What is weird is that I have an IP address yet I can't get on the Internet. If I look at Diagnostics, it reveals: GREEN - Built-in Ethernet GREEN - Network settings GREEN - ISP RED - Internet RED - Server If I start to configure settings, my Internet will come back. Or if I reboot my router (Actiontec MI424WR - Verizon FIOS supplied) it will come back. I just did another test and rebooted and did nothing. After about 7 minutes, it connects to the Internet...How can I force OSX 10.4.9 to connect immediately??? It is set for DHCP and my router is set for PPPoE and gives out DHCP addresses. It was not doing this prior to installing Parallels 3188. Any continued advice would be appreciated!!!
