What size hard drive allocation should I use at the initial install? My programs are 5.0 gig not including Windows XP Home. Are these programs using up the hard drive space I allocate?
I suggest you to allocate 32G. Parallels virtual disk is dynamically allocated and its actual size depend on how much data you store inside guest OS. Allocation size is represented as disk size for guest OS and limits maximum possible disk size.
