I don't know if this was covered before, I'm sure it was, but I can't find exactly what I'm looking for. If I back up the winxp.hdd, winxp.pvs, winxp.mem, winxp.sav and a folder called Windows Applications within the Parallels folder, all of the Parallels files, am I backing up all of the files that I'm working on within Parallels? It seems that that would be an easy way to back up those work files that are necessary. Or if not, where are the files that I'm working on within Parallels stored so I can back them up. Thanks. Rick
as long as you keep your parallels licence email (or retail box) safe, then this is fine. (in reality, you dont need the .sav or .mem files, just the pvs and hdd. Make sure you shutdown the VM before backing it up, rather than suspending it.
I would emphasise, you really want those .sav and .mem files if you are likely to have suspended the machine while the back-up might run. It can get nasty if you lose those for a suspended machine.
