First problem. When I have parallel running, and have my mouse inside the screen, and try to plug in my usb stick, it says it's being used by another process. But it's not. The usb then appears on my mac desktop. I've tried shut down and restarted, updating parallels, and reinstalling the tools, and it still happens. It just won't see my usb stick. Second problem. I can't get parallel to capture my mouse and keyboard so I don't go outside the screen. I've tried Cmd+I and the VM > Capture Input but is won't take. it just still lets me roam outside. I thought perhaps this has something to do with my not being able to get my usb stick to work. Oh, and last week I could capture me usb stick. But don't ask what I changed, lol. Appreciate any help you can give me, cheers.
Hello, 1. Yes, it's known problem of 1970 build. Please update Parallels, download our latest build 3188: http://download.parallels.com/GA/Parallels Desktop 3188 Mac en.dmg And finally: check your USB settings - autoconnect USB on/off, if on - new USB devices will connect to VM automatically, if no - you'll need to choose it in Devices menu and connect manually. 2. Mouse and keyboard captured automatically if your mouse is on the VM's screen. If you want to switch between host and guest windows by hotkey combination you need to uninstall Parallels mouse driver in guest OS.
Hi I downloaded the new version, reinstalled parallel tools, and am now about to happily capture my mouse and keyboard. As for the Usb: I have it enabled, and set to auto-connect. When I plug it in, it shows up with a tick next to it in devices, but I still can't seem to open in. It doesn't appear under My Computer, or under Windows Explorer. When I untick it under devices it pops up on the mac desktop - so I guess that's working, lol. Any further suggestios? It's starting to drive me quote batty. Cheers
