I'm trying to load an antivirus upgrade disk in Parallels VM running Windows XP but I cannot get it to load in Windows. When I go to "My Computer" in Windows to check the status of my "D" drive, it shows "Parallel Tools startup disk (D". I cannot eject this "disk" since it does not exist. Apparently it is a remnant of reinstalling Parallel Tools from my most recent upgrade to the latest version of Parallels. Highlighting "Device CD/DVD-ROM-1" on the lower taskbar displays "Status: connected" but when I try to load the CD into Windows it loads in my Mac window. On the "Parallels Desktop" task bar, clicking Devices shows "CD/DVD-ROM-1: connect to vmtools.iso" with a greyed out check mark. I have tried disconnecting and then reconnecting to no avail. What am I missing?
to mount stuff use Parallels Desktop in Mac OS menu >> Devices >> CD/DVD-ROM 1 >> default CD/ DVD rom the VM is controled from the Mac OS Hugh W
