Will PD 6 work with Mac OSX Lion installed? Are they compatible?

They work great! I have a 2011 Mac Air 4GB, 124GB, that came with Lion installed. I installed Parallels 6 and recently the update to it and it's all working great! No hiccups of any kind (only the self induced ones due to my ignorance, lol).

There is only 1 thing I don't like and I'm sure I'll figure it out some day it's that I have to keep switching on and off in the DEVICES tab when I want to use my printer with a Mac program or with a Windows program. Takes 3 or 4 seconds to switch but I'm sure it should do it automatically like everything else. Aside from that I love Parallels 6 !

My dilemma now is whether to upgrade to 7 since 6 is working great and I read all the horror stories here.

Many thanks for the reply. What version of PD 6 are you using? I am running build 11828.

If you're already running PD 6 and you're going to upgrade to Lion after everything I've read here I'd recommend these steps. The best thing to do is to upgrade to Lion then a clean install of PD 6 but it's easier to do the following steps and if something goes wrong then just go and do the clean install of Lion and PD6 and it should be all like mine working great :

1- backing everything up to an external drive. I use CCC (Carbon Copy Cloner) which is free and works great. this way if anything goes wrong you can restore back to the ay it was. ** I deleted an important file and had to restore my entire hard drive from my CCC copy and it took an hour but everything was perfect again.

2- upgrade to Lion and see if everything works. If it all does then upgrade to the latest PD 6. Apparently upgrading to the latest PD before updating to Lion has brought many problems.

Again many thanks for the help. I think I'm going to stick with what I've got for the time being, SL and PD6.

Yep. I'm going to be upgrading to 7 in the next day or two now that I know that I can always restore to 6 from backup so hopefully I'll have good news about 7 also.
