I am trying to run Counter-Strike under Parallels and noticing a number of mouse related issues that seem to be related to the mouse synchronization. Basically the mouse just swings wildly causing you to spin around constantly.

I have tried uninstall and reinstalling the tools, but the option is always checked and cannot be unchecked. You also cant disable it in the Parallel Tools system tray app and doing it through Device Manager causes you to lose your mouse altogether. Any ideas?

    Thanks.

    what kind of mouse?

I had a crazy mouse issue which was caused by one of my own hairs under an MS optical mouse

losing control of the cursor as it slid down the screen

    check all is clean

Ynot - you didn't answer his question. I'm having the same difficulties as he outlined - the thread you linked to does not give any answers to how to remove/disable sync under the current version of Parallels.

It would be great if you could outline how to do it.

Uninstall parallels tools and install them again in custom configuration without mouse syncronisation tool.

    Ynot,

He said specifically that's what he did. I have done the same. The reinstallation process still does not allow you to uncheck mouse sync. You can try it for yourself.

Correction: What you did not state was that having coherence enabled blocks the mouse sync tool from being unchecked- and you have to uncheck coherence first.

Some magic and all will be disabled. Let's experiment together!

I have WinXP installed into VM, and told it 'Uninstall tools'. Bit later uninstalation completed. Reboot.

Now i have WinXP without any Parallels stuff inside. Click install parallels tools in menu. Installation begin.

I see window with "Setup type" words and can select 'custom' setup there. Click, selected, click next.

Ahh, so much checkboxes, i see 'mouse synchronisation' and it grayed out. Try to uncheck 'Coherence' box. And... wow, i can uncheck 'mouse synchronisation'. :) Voila.

PS: Hope, that I am better developer than supporter :))
