For some reason my install never checks for updates and intimates me. Even when I do this manually Parallels gets stuck at the "checking for update" window without doing anything for hours.
Is there something i can do to see what is happening ?

The same thing happens to me too. I can never check for updates manually or auto.
If you get any pointers, please do post the same.
BTW: I am using Build 3188
    Thanks.

No firewall block. Strangely enough when I tried today in the morning it worked so i guess it is definatly an issue with the webiste they use for the updates.
Maybe a better update process is needed !!

I tried to update again WITHOUT ANY LUCK.
How do I check for firewall block in Mac as I am still unable to get the updates?

Open the Sharing preferences pane, select "Firewall" and click the "Advanced..." button. Turn on "Enable Firewall Logging" and click "OK." Try to update, then go back to that same screen and click "Open log..." That will show you the firewall log and you'll see if you're blocking the Parallels site.

My guess is that you're not, but rather that their update site is just very unresponsive. (Which admittedly isn't a big help, I know. Sorry. )

Maybe someone in Parallels can have a look at this and FIX the problem.
