This is probably a very newbie question. The problem is that I know a little about something but not really anything in depth. Isn't that always the case.

I have a new install of the 3186 parallels on a MBP, Core 2 running most up to date OSX and Windows XP (not yet Vista).

I have a few devices that don't seem to be recognized in Windows. One is USB and the other is via the network. The drivers are installed as the programs that I'm trying to use BitPim and a OCR found the drivers. But then nothing else, says that there is an error.

For the BitPim, it is the USB. It is looking for the phone in COM4 using the BitPim phone wizard.

In the OCR, looking for the printer via wireless and ethernet network link to MFC printer/scanner, but says that the Twain scanner is not attached.

Not sure what exactly I'm doing here so please be explicit. Any help would be much appreciated.

I guess I should have posted this in the other site. I read this site was for tips. If anyone has any tips, please tell me so that I don't look too foolish.

There seems to still be a larger number of non-operative usb devices than the marketing leads one to believe.
