I purchased an upgrade to Parallels 6 for Mac on August 25. Due to a heavy workload I only tried to download it today. The site told me it was already expired. Even though I thought this was not fair at all I purchased extended download today. Now there is no download link on this order. Does anyone know what could I do to get the upgrade? Thanks
Do you have the license key? Just follow the download links from the main site, http://www.parallels.com/download/desktop/ There's a PDM6 link there. The extended download is stupid (sorry Parallels, but it's true), you are always able to download PDM even if it's the trial, which is no different from the Retail product except they send you a trial key also, but can be activated with a license key.
Thank you Specimen. The problem is that since I purchased an update from version 4 to 6 and was not able to download version 6, my key which is valid for version 4 will not activate version 7. Version 6 is no longer available at the web page for download.
Did you click the link I posted? Did you not see below version 7 where it says "Parallels Desktop 6 for Mac Downloads"?
Thanks again Specimen. I have tried the link now (did´t see it before). I am in a worse position now, since I could install Parallels 6 but the activation key is good only for upgrades from previous releases. I cannot go back to parallels 4 so I have the only option to buy the product in order to recover my virtual machine. I have tried to contact Parallels support but none of my 3 purchases to the company makes me elegible for a code and thus all my emails are rejected. Do you know how to get in touch with them?

Various support options: http://www.parallels.com/support/ My recommendation: http://www.parallels.com/support/request/ Do you have a copy of version 4? If you had it, you could install it, activate and register, and then upgrade using the version 6 installer. I might have a PDM4 version in my Time Machine (the download, I always save the installer), not sure.
Thanks again. Nothing seems to work. Both links you sent end up looping to the same page. I must either buy a new copy or pay 9,95 in order to get support by mail. Their is no way to get in touch with any kind of customer service. Very frustrating
It takes you to a login page right? Use the the 'create your account' area 'continue' button. Register your PDM4 license key there.
License is already registered but not entitled for support. Thing got worse now. I bought the support for one incident and when trying to register it the page does not allow to do so.
Stop wasting money aimlessly. If registered and after making the login you can always file a support request via this link! http://www.parallels.com/support/request/ I'm done here, there's nothing else I can do.
Upgrade issue Hello! Can anyone help please! I has Parallels 5 installed on my Mac a while ago, then I moved it from my computer. Now I would like to install it again but the thing is that I have upgraded to OS X Lion, so Parallels just won't be installed. What can I do? Please please please help!
Upgrade issue I understand that, but I already bought Parallels 5 and so now if I understand right I should be able to buy an upgrade, not a full version. However, to be able to upgrade I should already have the soft installed on my Mac..... Actually this was the question initially - is there any way for me to solve this issue or is all I have to do is spend money on a new version (full cost)? I just do not think this is fair......
If PDM5 was already installed when you upgraded to Lion even if PDM5 doesn't work, the upgrade should work, meaning, the upgrade process finds the necessary files. Which is not your case... I advise you to contact Parallels support directly with that question: http://www.parallels.com/support/ (create a support request)
