I've spoken several times to support on this, but no solution. If I change the Windows res - either on desktop or within a game - to anything but the native 2560x1440 - I get black bands round the screen - it does not go full. If I select 'Adjust Mac resolution in full screen', that works, except that ALL screens, i.e. OS X/Windows/game, go into the chosen res. Does anyone know how to resolve this?
That's how it works. I don't understand what you actually want here. If you are in full screen view, and select a resolution smaller than your display, then you'll get black bands. Are you saying you want Windows to be zoomed to fit your display at the lower res? Have you tried the Windows Magnifier (Win 7) or played with the settings in Display preferences? Steve
What I want is for Windows to act as it normally does. For example, if I have my desktop res set to 2560x1440, then if I set a game to 1920x1200 it shows as full screen - no black bands. If I swap back to the desktop from the game, it'll be at 2560x1440. That's how it works in Bootcamp, native Windows and OS X. So, why not Parallels?
