I installed Parallels 3 on my MacBook Pro and it worked fine for about 3-4 days. Now when I double click on the Parallels icon NOTHING HAPPENS!! It jumps up and down in the dock; it acts like it's opening from the applications folder but still nothing happens! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks-
Have you tried re-installing Parallels? i.e. Uninstall, restart, install, restart. Other thing that comes to mind is corrupt preference files. Those should be wiped in an un-install.
Thanks for the very easy tip. It seems to have worked. It appears that the hdd file was bad. Thanks again-
Did you re-install your Windows? Un-installing Parallels does not un-install the .hdd file. Glad it works now.
parallels wont launch Hi. I've just purchased, downloaded and installed version 6. I have windows XP already installed in boot camp. Everything ran smoothly during the install but now it won't launch. It loads the windows opening screen and song, then jumps back to the black screen with the 'windows xp - click to start' window, then drops the send error report page. I then tried (maybe erroneously) to create a new VM but used the install XP disc. I have the same problem occurring. This is as far as my windows/parallels knowledge goes unfortunately - please help.
If you Don't Want or you Can't to Reinstall it right now look at this Easy Solution: http://install-climber.blogspot.com/2011/09/parallels-wont-start-on-mac.html
