After installing Parallels 7, the boot process loops on my Mac. It hangs at the Apple logo with the spinning wheel for about a minute, then reboots itself. The second boot usually goes through, but sometimes it takes additional loops to get a successful boot. It always takes at least one loop before boot is successful.

I have tried this on my 2007 MacBook Pro, and my 2011 MacBook Air, with identical results. Both systems are running OS 10.7.1. I suspect the issue is related to having FileVault 2 enabled on both systems. Parallels 6 had no such conflict on either system.

I have taken video clips of the boot process in verbose mode up to the point at which it loops.
The "reduced" video is much smaller (26 MB vs 115 MB), but the text may be difficult to read, so I have uploaded the full-resolution version as well.

Do you have whole disk encryption or just a folder encrypted?

FileVault 2 only works on an entire volume…
