I bought it yesterday via download. I discovered that my new MBA 2011 boots slower and shuts down slower as well. I reinstalled Lion and it seemed to me that it worked faster as before. However, as soon as I installed Parallels 7 again, it went back to slow startup and shutdown. So, today, I uninstalled Parallels 7 and my MBA got back to its fast era. So, I think that Parallels 7 makes my new MBA shutdown and startup slow. Do you have any solution for this issue? Actually, it is quite frustrating me because I feel like I lost the big benefits of MBA. Please help me precisely.
Parallels 7 causes start and shutdown problems Exactly the same problem her with a late 2010 MBA. I have use Parallels 3-6 without a problem - on installation of Parallels 7 yesterday (via download), the machine goes through start-up, shuts down and re-prompts for the password. On shutdown the machine almost hangs, grey screen, spinning beach ball. Took the machine to Apple today, and yes confirmed the shutdown is definitely due to Parallels and likely start-up. This issue needs to be rectified immediately please Parallels.
