Transport Agent question

I"m thinking of grabbing my files from my work PC to my MacBook Pro to run on paralells. I"m wondering the extend of what the transport agent does. Does it copy all apps, OS files, and even certificates? The reason I ask is because the one thing we haven't been able to do at work yet natively on a mac is VPN. So I was hoping to use the work files to connect to VPN and then allow the mac apps to work over the VPN.

So to what extend does the transport agent go to? Will it be able to do everything I need it to?

 

It depends on what you prefer and what you are trying to do. As far as copying the apps, it sure can copy all of it.
