    Hi,
I am new to parallels, I am trying to install xp. I have created a new vm, with hdd in a fat 32 disk, expanding, on ide 0:0, and a cd rom on ide 0:1. paralels cannot recognize cd rom device, I have created ISO, and tried to boot from iso, but still says boot device failed.
unable to recognize a boot device.

bootcamp is not installed on my system,
    a have a 18 gb fat32, 40gb mac hdd

I think i am doing something wrong in creating vm
can anybody send a new vm to install windows xp pro? so I can open and boot from iso.

Do you have an upgrade version of Vista? If so it expects to see a previous version of XP on your system.
