I cloned my XP Pro VM, giving the clone the name "Windows 7", and upgraded it using an upgrade version of Windows 7. As a result, the machine name is still Windows XP. How can I persuade Parallels 6 to allocate the correct name (and show the right icon in the Library window) please? Later - it looks like I need to change the name of the hard disk drive from Windows XP-0.hdd to do this. How, please? I've also got a blank iconed .hdd device in the drop-down list from a previous failed attempt, which would be nice to delete.
