I've installed Lion on my Mac and it appears that PDFM 6 is incompatible with Lion. I cannot even login successfully on my Mac without seeing the Dead Scren ("Hold power button to restart your Mac..."). I've deleted the Parallels Desktop software, but I didn't know that doing this wouldn't delete my virtual machines (that are causing the whole problem). Is there a way for me to delete them directly from the Terminal?!

    Thanks.

Did you get this fixed? And I can assure you, your virtual machines (pvm files) are not causing kernel panics. Kernel panics generally originate from a bad kexts (possibly parallels kexts). If you run into them you should try rebooting and when you hear the bong hold down v (before the apple logo) which will show verbose boot information and tell you what kext is causing your kernel panic.

I didn't fix it. I tried everything and nothing worked...
When I finally deleted PD and my virtual machines completely, the problem was gone.

Jessica, what version of DP are you using?

PD6 works on lion if you do some tweaking. search the forum. however, parallel's official statement is that Lion has not been released so there is no support for it. i wouldn't expect a lion compatible version of parallels for a bit after lion is actually released.

I can confirm I am also getting kernel panics running parallels (6.0.12094) with Lion. It seems to normally happen when Parallels is resuming after a suspend. This is a very serious problem!

I have reported this via the "Report problem ..." menu option and was given this number 9659939. Can I do anything further to help resolve this issue?

that build number is the one your link suggests upgrading to.

I guess that there are still issues in this build then!

thanks but the issue I just reported is not on that list.
In my view a Kernel panic when resuming a VM is pretty serious, can you pass my concern on the the dev team. Feel free to pass on my contact details in case there is any more info they require

Is anybody else having regular kernel panics when using the latest parallels (6.0.12094) with OSX Lion? I get them quite frequently when using USB memory sticks with Windows 7 64bit running in a VM. I can't tell you how frustrating it is!!

Daily I have kernel panics on my MB Air, mid 2011 model. I can't find a solution.
It is always after wake from sleep. To try and avoid KP I properly shut down Windows, then quit Parallels. When I wake the MB Air and want to use Windows, Click Parallels icon in the dock -boom- kernel panic.
If I don't quit Windows, randomly the Air won't wake from sleep. It's just stuck on black screen. After hard reboot, the report to Apple dialog comes up.
