I have mac pro, 12 core with 16Gb ram running Lion. I have a year old copy of P6 that I wish to install. I wish to config P6 to run Windows 7 64bit. Would appreciate your recommendations on config specs... how many cores to dedicate, how much ram, etc. With as much horsepower that this mac pro I want to make sure to keep the mac running strong, but also allocate enough system resources to enable the windows 7 64bit to run snappy. Appreciate your advice in advance. Ron
Well, your machine's a beast, so the sky's the limit. There's no set rule: it depends how much you need, what apps you run, do you do more in OS X or Windows, your workflow, etc. Will probably be a trial & error thing, which is easy enough. Personally I wouldn't start too high -- say 2 cores + 4 GB -- and tweak from there.
